From the myth of Narcissus to the story of Snow White, mirrors have long been a potent symbol and a powerful tool. In addition to allowing us to check our hair for flyaways and our visages for misapplied makeup, these polished reflective surfaces serve double-duty as timeless decorative objects. Both more functional and versatile than a painting, print, or textile, mirrors can act to enhance a space by adding light and the illusion of depth.
Nothing solves the problem of a small, under-lit room like a beautiful mirror! Our designers advise hanging mirrors perpendicular to a window, rather than directly in front of it. Placing a mirror across from a window reflects the light back out, but placed at an angle, a mirror will bring more light into your space.
