One of the highlights of the Decor Aid studio’s SoHo location is our proximity to one of New York’s best home decor shops, Michele Varian. A modern curiosity shop, it’s filled with unique, handcrafted finds from all over the world. Varian initially opened the store as a way to showcase the decorative silk pillows that she was making, but she had such an appreciation for the work and craftsmanship of other artists that she started featuring their work alongside her own. Michele has since outgrown that first space on Crosby Street, and moved a few streets over to a much larger space on Howard Street. She’s also moved beyond pillows to designing everything from lighting fixtures to upholstered furniture. If you’re not in New York, you can still get the Michele Varian experience online.
