Though the two bedroom luxury condo at The Four Seasons Residences in San Francisco included all of the famed hotel’s services and amenities, the space felt less like a home and more like a hotel. It needed that extra layer to give it personality and warmth.

Riffing off of the client’s colorful collection of artwork, Decor Aid pulled in color and texture from the paintings. In the living room, custom pillows in yellow, purples and burnt orange brought life to the room’s neutral grey palette. A vase picks up the works’ brushstrokes. A concrete chain from The Future Perfect added a natural element.

Instead of a second bedroom, the client wanted to use the area as a den. Custom couches from Fitzgerald, covered in grey Ultrasuede, echo the color of the couches in the living room; custom pillows also mirror those found in the adjacent area, unifying the two spaces.

A vintage stool, found on First Dibs, and a rug from Abyss, brings warmth to the bathroom.

Adding texture to the room, via custom cut velvet pillows and wallpaper, turned the master bedroom from cold to inviting. A bench at the end of the bed holds books and vases. The plush materials and earthy colors, picked up from the rug, underline the room’s rich wood tones and add to its appeal.

A small room next to the kitchen is a cozy home office; sliding doors which hide it during the day also slide to transform the den back into a bedroom when guests arrive.
